Guppie Labs is an independent digital studio. It operates this website, guppielabs.com, and the Open Jobs job database at open-jobs.guppielabs.com. This policy covers guppielabs.com. Open Jobs and other Guppie Labs products may have their own notices where their handling of information differs.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@guppielabs.com.

Information you send us. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive what you choose to share: typically your name, email address, company or website and details about your project. We use it to reply, to understand your request and to scope work.

Information collected automatically. This website does not run analytics or advertising trackers of its own. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as IP address, requested pages and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free service, may also give us aggregate traffic statistics.

Preferences stored on your device. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. A small value in session storage helps the navigation animate between pages. Neither is sent to us.

This website does not set cookies of its own. Guppie Labs participates in Google AdSense. Where ads are shown on a Guppie Labs site, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can manage how Google personalises ads at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We use a small number of providers to run the site and handle email:

• Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, DNS, security and cookie-free web analytics for guppielabs.com.
• Sanity hosts the content management system that stores the text and images shown on this site. Visitors' data is not sent to it.
• Google Workspace handles email sent to and from our contact address.
• A form service, if the contact form is configured to use one, receives the details you submit through the form.

We do not sell personal information.

We use the information you send to respond to your enquiry, to scope and deliver any project we agree, to keep records of our work and to keep the site secure. We keep enquiries for as long as they are needed for those purposes, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@guppielabs.com and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant we will make that clear on the site.
